Doodle is what people mean when they say "send round a poll". It is very good at finding a time. It is also funded by advertising, and the ads are shown to everyone you invite.
Doodle finds a time. So do we now — but we also do the part that comes after: who is bringing what, who takes which shift, who is actually coming. Where Doodle is straightforwardly better is calendar integration, and it deserves credit for deleting old polls automatically, which most tools do not.

If you live in your calendar and want scheduling that reads it, Doodle is the better tool and worth paying for. If you would rather the people you invite were not shown advertising, and you also need the list of who is bringing the cake, start here.
